What Does an Attorney Do?
An attorney provides legal advice and representation based on the facts of your situation and applicable law. Every case is unique, and there is rarely a single “right” solution. An experienced attorney helps you understand your options, protect your rights, negotiate favorable outcomes, and represent you when litigation becomes necessary.
Attorneys also help clients plan ahead by preparing legal documents such as wills, contracts, and business agreements to help prevent future legal issues.
How Do I Know If I Need an Attorney?
You should consider consulting an attorney whenever a legal issue could affect your rights, finances, family, or business.
Common situations include:
- You are contacted by another attorney.
- You are questioned by law enforcement.
- You are considering filing a lawsuit.
- You are going through a divorce or child custody matter.
- You are starting or buying a business.
- You need a will, trust, or estate plan.
- You need legal advice before signing an important contract.
Early legal guidance often helps avoid costly mistakes later.
How Much Do Legal Services Cost?
SandLaw PLLC offers several billing options depending on the type of case.
Hourly Billing
Most legal matters are billed at an hourly rate with monthly statements.
Flat Fees
Certain services, such as wills and estate planning packages, are offered for a fixed fee.
Contingency Fees
Personal injury cases are generally handled on a contingency basis, meaning attorney fees are collected only if compensation is successfully recovered. During your consultation, Hank will explain the fee structure that best fits your legal matter.
How Do I Hire SandLaw PLLC?
Getting started is simple. Schedule an initial consultation to discuss your legal matter. Consultations may be held in person, virtually, or by telephone, depending on your needs.

If you decide to move forward, Hank will explain the representation agreement, billing arrangement, and any applicable retainer before work begins.
